  1. Hi Mia,

My name's Ruby and I'm one of the people who will be blogging with you this summer as part of the Summer Learning Journey.

Good work with this activity! The Siena Cathedral is really beautiful. I was lucky enough to see it in Italy a few years ago and it looks just as awesome in real life.
Can you believe it took them 48 years to build it?! What do you think made it take such a long time?

I look forward to reading more of your blogs over the summer.
    Cheers,
    Ruby.

    1. Wow! you saw it in Italy, now that's lucky! 48 years is so long though. In the olden days some peoples life time would be about 48 years. The reason why I think that it took such a long time is because of the detail, which is carved in to shapes.
      Thanks for the comment Ruby,
      Mia

I like the choice of Cathedral you chose to use here. Its really fantastic to see you thinking and using your research skills to find out information about it.
Where did you find out the facts about this Cathedral?
I have visited the Cathedral in Christchurch after the earthquakes and It looks very different now. Have you seen it?

Don't forget if you comment and make comments on other students blogs you get more points.

    1. I found these facts on wiki on the right hand side. True the Cathedral looks quite run down now, since I live in Christchurch I see it often enough when we go to town. Apparently they are going to fix it.
